Dressage is an integral part of the equine endeavors in Virginia. The grace and beauty of the movements is awe inspiring. With my new series - “Reflections” - I am including the “Dressage Reflections” as my entries in this years’ Celebrating the Horses of Virginia. Thank you for allowing me to share my creative vision with you.
The patterns and symmetry in this scene along the lake grabbed my eye. Love repeating patterns!

I loved the play of dark and light, and the patterns of the willow tree reflected in the lake.

The first is of trainer Helen George at Hillbrook in Hanover County being watched over by her ever present “guardian”. It is a scene that we all can relate to, as our dogs are ‘our’ guardians, ever present with horse people in all disciplines.
