Welcome to the Virginia Equine Artists Association’s second “Celebrating the Horses of Virginia” exhibition. Featuring the work of fifteen talented Virginia artists, this show promotes an appreciation for equestrian themed artwork, while supporting non-profit organizations in the Commonwealth that play an integral role in the equine industry.

Each Celebrating the Horses of Virginia artist chose their equine subjects from locales around Virginia. The thirty-seven works included in the exhibition represent numerous breeds and disciplines in a wide variety of styles and media including acrylic, oil, pastel, pen and ink, pencil, photography, and stained glass.

To achieve the VEAA’s goal to support non-profit equestrian organizations, Celebrating the Horses of Virginia artists will donate thirty percent of this exhibit’s sale proceeds, twenty percent of which will go directly to each purchaser’s choice of the Equine Rescue League, Leesburg; the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, James River Chapter, Goochland; or Hoofbeats Therapuetic Riding Center, Lexington. The remaining ten percent will be retained by the VEAA to help offset show costs and develop future exhibitions.
